Fred Cline and Bobby Cannard are kindred spirits who believe in letting nature take the lead in farming. Dedicated to sustainable practices, they developed the Green String Method. This method promotes and enhances biodiversity, biological cycles and soil activity. This minimizes pollution from the air, soil, and water while also optimizing the health and productivity of soil, plants, animals and people. Every effort is made to reduce soil erosion, and other harmful ecological footprints.
Farmhouse was born out of the desire to not only create a clean herbicide and chemical free wine, but also to teach future generations about what it means to farm with nature, not against it. |
Farmhouse is named in honor of the school house at Green String Farm in Petaluma, California.
It serves as the library and study room for conscientious students from around the globe seeking to learn the Green String method of sustainable farming. The Green String Method is based on the long term health and well being of our plants and soil. |
